O-ring kit with a selection of imperial sizes made from Nitrile. Nitrile A O-rings are cost effective and suitable for use with many substances including oils, gasoline, hydrocarbons, etc.
Nitrile is the most widely used elastomer in the seal industry, and commonly used in o-ring and sealing applications. The popularity of nitrile is due to its excellent resistance to petroleum products and its ability to be compounded for service over a temperature range of -22°F to 212°F. Nitrile provides excellent compression set, tear, and abrasion resistance. The major limiting properties of nitrile are its poor ozone and weather resistance and moderate heat resistance, but in many application these are not limiting factors. The nitrile o-ring is commonly referred to as a Buna o-ring, or NBR o-rings. We offer a selection of both the standard AS568 o-ring and the metric o-ring.
