Jotron have for several years been one of the worldā€™s leading producers of SART (search and rescue radar transponder). Jotronā€™s Tron SART20 is designed for use in search and rescue operations and gives the exact location of the distressed indicated on the radar X-band display of any nearby ships, SAR vessels and aircrafts. Tron SART20 and Tron AIS-SART can both be used as ā€œsearch and rescue locating devicesā€ according to IMO SOLAS Amendment in Resolution MSC.256(84) giving the ship owner freedom to choose either product as required by SOLAS Chapter III, Regulation 2.2.

Tron SART20 GMDSS 9ghz search and rescue radar transponder complies with IMO/SOLAS/GMDSS regulations and is MED and FCC approved.

EASY INSTALLATION:
With easy mounting in the bulkhead bracket onboard the vessel, Tron SART20 is easy to release and activate in an emergency situation. Various installation devices are available as options. MED and other approvals are available.

The radar transponder is mandatory carriage equipment for all ships of 300 gross tonnage and upwards, according to SOLAS III/6.2.2, III/26.2.5 and IV/7.1.3.
